Beyond Perseverance

Updated: Sep 1, 2023

Homelessness rarely is a choice you make.

Sometimes it is just the hand you are dealt.

Meet Diana!

At an early age, Diana's parents moved back to Guatemala. Separated from her family, her aunt and uncle agreed to take care of her and her siblings. Soon that arrangement changed and she moved to Amarillo and lived with her godmother. While attending Palo Duro High School, she again found her journey tethered with no where to live.

The counselor at PDHS referred her to Martha's Home and by the grace of God, Martha's Home had a spot open.

Diana graduated from PDHS May 2023, and is now attending Amarillo College. She is the first generation in her family to graduate high school and go on to college. It is her goal to continue her education at West Texas A&M University and receive a degree in agriculture science.

Diana is ready for the challenges ahead of her and because of your support, Martha's Home can contune to meet her present needs and lead her to her future success!
